Not just for kids
The Orihuela Costa is an eminently touristic part of Spain. It is therefore impossible for it to lack places and facilities in which children and young people would spend their holiday time.
In first place, of course, are the water-related activities. Anyone visiting the Orihuela Costa has beautiful sandy beaches and private or residential swimming pools at their disposal. However, if anyone would like a more extreme experience then there are aquaparks available. The nearest of these are in nearby Torrevieja:
Amateurs of Ferris wheels and roller coasters can pursue their passions in amusement parks:
- At the port of Torrevieja
- Pola Park in Santa Pola
- and on the seasonal carousel in Cabo Roig
For younger children there is a playroom in the Zenia Boulevard Shopping Centre.
and for the slightly older ones, there is a children’s Rodeo in Torrevieja by the harbour.
There is also bowling at Zenia Boulevard Shopping Centre.
For fans of motor sport, there is a karting track at Punta Prima.
Fans of real adventure should not miss the Lo Rufete centre, where you can ride a real steed, try your hand at archery or painball, take a trip on a quad bike or go canoeing.
One of the biggest attractions is also the Safari Park in nearby Elche
